The Camp is set in a 220 square kilometre fenced reserve amid the rolling Omboroko Mountains, overlooking the plains. Accommodation consists of eight thatched rondavels with a central dining and seating area overlooking manicured lawns (thanks to Warthog 'lawn-mowers') and a waterhole. The reserve is home to the Africat Foundation. This non-profit organisation is focused on the long-term conservation of large carnivores in Namibia. Livestock farmers in the neighbouring territory are understandably unhappy if their stock are killed by Leopards or Cheetahs and may shoot adults, leaving orphaned cubs that are given to the Reserve. The aim is to raise then relocate and/or rehabilitate those that have been saved.
