After our rather pointless visit to El Calafate we were taken to the frontier at Paseo Dorotea. After passing through we were picked up and taken to Torres del Paine, Hosteria las Torres, which did seem very remote.

We were dropped at the bus stop in Puerto Natales and made our way on a local bus to Punta Arenas, and the plane to Puerto Montt.
